ARA FOR DEVELOPERS

Ara Was Built By Developers, For Developers

Ara File System (AFS)

Ara File System (AFS) enables distributed, secure, verifiable, and decentralized file systems for the Ara Network. Ara File Systems are backed and owned by Ara Identities. Ara File Systems enable fast, secure, and distributed storage and transmission of hypermedia over the Internet. AFS incorporates proof of ownership, effectively creating licenses “stamped” on the Blockchain.

E-Commerce

SDKs that enable transactions on Ara, allowing users to spend Ara tokens as currency for purchasing goods and services. Support for price conversions to show current Ara token value related to fiat currencies.

Ara Identity (AID)

Ara Identity (AID) enables global secure w3 compliant decentralized ID for the Ara Network. Ara Identities are cryptographically secured through asymmetric verification. Ara IDs are Decentralized Identifiers (DID) backed by Decentralized Identity Document Objects (DDO). Ara Identity makes use of 32 byte ed25519 (EdDSA) public keys as identifiers in DID URIs.

For Resources

Ara Identity allows for resources like a PDF or Word Document to be indexed and backed by Ara Identities. Decentralized services (decents) can consume local resources and index them by an Ara Identity. Decentralized services or applications running locally can use resources backed by Ara Identity.

File Management

SDKs that enable the publishing and management of assets on DCDN, as well as support for packaging and associating complex metadata with assets on the network. Any digital file type, with support for individual files and groups of files. Metadata schema is based on standards provided by Schema.org.

SDKs

Ara is supported by an ongoing library of SDKs that enable robust implementations on top of Ara’s Core functionality. At launch, these SDKs will cover three major verticals, and will continue to expand over time.
